(Junior) Product Manager - Non-food (m/f/d)

In this position, you will be the responsible (Junior) Product Manager for a product group within our non-food /accessories private label portfolio. You develop and manage new and existing product ranges, have full responsibility of the product lifecycle, keep an eye on the entire product value chain, and push it to the next level. You own the products.


Your responsibilities will be:

  • Responsibility for operational product management in support of specific private label brands and/or product groups.
  • Responsibility for the sourcing, development and introduction of global new products based on a sound understanding of customer needs - managing the process from concept to launch.
  • Conceptual support and systematic development of new or existing private labels through new products and line extensions.
  • Collaboration in the development of the private label strategy in close cooperation with brand management.
  • Identification and operational implementation of innovations and trends.
  • Responsibility for private label (products) throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Continuous analysis of product development and sales KPIs.
  • Analysis of existing reports and key figures in an effort to optimize the cost situation, product availability, margin situation, sales development.
  • Continuous shelf maintenance and optimization in the sense of increasing customer satisfaction and quality assurance, e.g. by analyzing key business figures, completeness of product description and presentation, release of new products.
  • Control of promotional measures and derivation of recommendations for actions to achieve sales targets.
  • Support of quality assurance aspects with regards to product safety, marketability, labeling and language information.
  • Holistic approach to product management within an efficient e-commerce environment.
  • Cross-functional networking with purchasing and brand team, as well as sales, replenishment, supply chain, quality management and masterdata to ensure an efficient assortment management along the whole product lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Successful university degree preferably with focus on business administration, product development or marketing
  • Relevant professional experience in product management of consumer products - ideally in an e-commerce or B2C environment
  • Experience in the independent support and development of product portfolios, brands or collections
  • Self-starter and entrepreneurial approach to product management with a strong focus on business development
  • High level of creativity, trend scouting and “ouf-of-the-box” thinking
  • First experience working with international stakeholders / partners and understanding of the global supply chain
  • Good knowledge of MS Office – particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Very good analytical skills combined with a passion for data analysis
  • Very good command of English, both spoken and written, additional languages are a plus
