Job description

In an agile environment, as a Product Owner in our Infrastructure Core Chapter, you will be joining the Infrastructure Platform & Security Services department.

You will work at the heart of Zooplus IT responsible for continuous operations and relentless improvement of our 24/7 E-Commerce Infrastructure. Working in a Product Organization means focusing on Primary topics (Technical Products) whilst supporting and collaborating on Cross-functional topics.

With an already strong and mature DevOps and Infrastructure as Code approach, we focus on further developing and innovating on new parts of our platform as well as enabling and guiding our Technical users and DevOps Teams.

Chapter Overview 

The Infrastructure Core Chapter is currently responsible for three Technical Products: Infrastructure Core Services, Datacenter Platform, and Corporate Infrastructure & Network. Together with the Infrastructure Core Services and Datacenter Platform you will provide our development teams the means to run a massive online shop.

Topics ranging from Datacenter, Private Cloud, Cloud Interconnects, ISP Uplinks, Firewalls and Routing up to VPN will be part of your daily business.

We are working with a high degree of automation, to handle all these topics.


  • Understand business needs, and technical needs to create a future-proof holistic infrastructure platform for our colleagues to use.
  • You are responsible for the hypothesis and data-driven development of initiatives and related user stories, prioritizing them as well as tracking their impact & results.
  • You own and shape the product backlog, experiments, roadmap, and vision of your products.
  • You define the why, when, and what of the product together with your team.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies and help your infrastructure team to deliver an outstanding platform as one joint team.
  • Identify dependencies with other product teams and align for fast resolution and delivery
  • Discuss data, assumptions, and ideas with your peers to further tailor and optimize our platform.



  • Bachelor`s Degree in computer science, (or similar) or equivalent working experience
  • Proven experience as a Product Manager/Owner
  • Demonstrated understanding of Datacenter and Platform operations
  • You use sound judgment to assess risks and to lay out your argument in a well-structured, data-informed, written narrative.
  • Professional working experience in digital product management and agile development processes
  • Excellent communication and organization skills and a can-do attitude
  • Fundamental understanding of user-centered product development processes and methodologies
  • Proven ability to engage with engineers, developers, and company leaders in a constructive and collaborative relationship
  • Curiosity to constantly learn, highly self-motivated, and a mindset of continuous improvement
  • End-to-end ownership, also looking beyond the own area of responsibility to get things done
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
