Senior Category Manager (f/m/d)

Job description

Your are taking primary responsibility for one of our Lead Supplier Accounts:

  • Autonomous product range planning and implementation including listing and delisting decisions
  • Planning, development and execution of marketing promotions
  • Monitoring and analysis of supplier and category performance
  • Sales forecasting on account level
  • Conducting market, competition and range analyses as well as price comparisons
  • Responsible to define and execute a local brand strategy including acquisition of new suppliers
  • Key contact for negotiating and specifying framework conditions and promotions with suppliers
  • Actively managing the relationship with internal departments like Purchasing, Sales, Supply Chain Management and Accounting


  • Graduate degree in a business-related discipline
  • Significant and relevant work experience in the FMCG industry or retail business as a (Senior) Category Manager, Vendor Manager and/or Buyer, ideally in e-commerce
  • Experience in an international working environment combined with excellent intercultural communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a very dynamic environment
  • Strong analytical and communication skills (internally and externally)
  • Experience in leading supplier negotiations
  • Distinct ability to understand and implement customer needs and market requirements
  • Proficient in MS-Office, especially in MS Excel and Powerpoint
  • Excellent verbal and written English language skills, further languages are an advantage
