Senior Supply Chain Network Analyst/ Logistics Planner (f/m/d)

Job description

We are looking for Senior Supply Chain Network Analyst/ Logistics Planner (f/m/d), who is ready to plan, control and optimize our logistics network on a strategical and tactical level.


Cost and lead time efficiency of supply chain/logistics network is the core of any successful e-Commerce business model and smart execution of this principle in daily activities is crucial for the customer experience and business necessity. The further development of our network and the tactically optimizing are and will be key for our further success. With over 10 fulfillment centers, a European distribution network and a relevant size zooplus has a USP in terms of powerfulness and superior customer experience. 


In this role you will be responsible for a decision-making process which starts with a mid-term planning, a weekly scheduling and a daily optimization. Overall you will improve and manage an interdependent, complex optimization calculus, consisting of different value chain steps: Inbound, parcel production/fulfillment, linehaul transportation and last mile delivery and different goals (e.g. cost and lead time optimization) whereas also certain restrictions (e.g. capacity constraints) have to be obeyed.

In this highly analytical and intellectually challenging role you will have close collaboration with stakeholder from different internal teams in logistics team as well as IT-functions, thus driving best practices to ensure continuous optimization with our supply chain network 


You will directly report to the Head of Supply Chain Management and work closely with our Control Tower, which is responsible for the daily steering, the so called parcel routing team.


  • Develop and drive the regular decision making process
  • Continuously evaluate the existing supply chain, provide analysis of current status and proactively define the areas which can be improved
  • Monitor and improve the monthly/weekly/daily performance of the supply chain network by following and driving performance with existing KPIs
  • Support Routing team in weekly and daily planning and steering activities to achieve the cost and lead time targets
  • Support Routing and Fulfillment teams with forecasting activities (3-month forecast and operational weekly/daily planning)
  • Collaborate with other logistics team members to optimize our current network processes

Requirements

  • University degree either in Supply Chain, Engineering, Applied Mathematics or similar
  • Sound experience in settings of similar complexity are a prerequisite
  • Proven experience with data analyses, including experience with SQL
  • Ability to work simultaneously with strategical long-term initiatives and daily operation routine
  • Experience of data imagining and ability to explain complex things
  • Problem-solving and result-oriented way of working
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
