Team Lead Vendor Manager E-Commerce (m/w/d)

Job description

In the role of Team Leader Vendor Manager E-Commerce (Food) you will be responsible for leading a high-performing international team of vendor and category managers as well as partner supplier-based relationships.

In close coordination with all relevant functions in the company, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and offering a customer and market-oriented brand label product range.


Responsibilities

  • Independent development of the divisional strategy for the "SME-Food-Accounts" (Europe without DACH region) and control and further development of the suppliers
  • Responsibility for purchasing for new suppliers, including initial acquisition, supplier management, and contract management
  • Independent leadership, development, and coaching of the international vendor management team SME among 6 countries
  • Ensuring a continuous analysis of the product range, control and follow-up of measures to improve and optimize the product range performance
  • Supporting suppliers and deciding on listings and delistings and further development of the product range for which you are responsible
  • Close cooperation with cross-functional interfaces such as Sales, Marketing, Replenishment, and Finance
  • Optimization of processes and resources as well as the definition of task planning in the team

Requirements

  • University degree in economics or similar studies
  • Sound knowledge of purchasing, category, and product management through several years of relevant experience in the FMCG sector
  • Management experience as Team Lead, preferably with sales responsibility
  • Solid understanding and experience in e-commerce peered with good retail knowledge
  • Good ability to analyze large amounts of data as well as confident handling of MS Office (especially Excel) and experience with SQL, SAP, Tableau is desirable
  • Experience in communicating with suppliers and service providers as well as appropriate assertiveness, communication, and negotiations skills combined with a strong client orientation
  • Excellent written and spoken English, further foreign language skills are an advantage
  • Management experience, preferably with sales responsibility
